Lorne Curry, CFP, CLU, CHS Group Benefit Specialist

I grew up in a close-knit community. Both my family and my wife’s family are very close, so relationships are very important to me. I have been married to Jeanette for over thirty five years and we have two sons, Joseph and Brendan.

I spent a few years in management of a major corporation in Toronto.

We decided to make the move to the Kawarthas to raise our family. I set up my own business, which I ran for 10 years. However, due to an injury, I was unable to continue. This experience was what attracted me to assisting business owners and professionals.

I get great satisfaction from educating clients and helping them to understand how complicated insurance programs work. While I have achieved the advanced designations in our industry, I primarily work with businesses, helping them to develop effective and cost efficient strategies for their Employee Group Benefit Plans. As mentioned in our Mission Statement, we choose to work with a team of specialists to best serve our clients. I feel this provides a far broader spectrum of knowledge to our clients.



Gary L. Weagle, CHS Financial Advisor

My roots are in Nova Scotia, where my wife Lisa and I still visit frequently with family and friends, but I have made Ontario my home for 30 years, and the Peterborough area for the past 16.  I’ve made my entire career in the investment and insurance industry.

My early years in the business were with a large financial services firm.  In 1999 I decided to set up my own practice in Peterborough, residing in Bridgenorth. 

I take pride in the fact that my business has developed by being built on a very personalized client focused service model.  I am very pleased to have recently merged my business with Lorne and the team at Curry Financial, in part so that I can be involved in their specialized approach to the industry, and I will be able to devote myself full time to assisting our clients with their investment needs, developing wealth strategies through a broad range of investment vehicles. 

My clients often tell me they appreciate my approach to simplifying the complexity of the vast number of investment options                    available, to help them reach their investment goals.

Joan Higgins Office Manager

Joan joined us over 15 years ago as Lorne’s Executive Assistant.

She works behind the scene, managing the office and focusing on the group benefit and insurance clients.

Joan loves hearing from our clients and is always willing to offer her assistance.





Tammy Woodbeck Administrative Assistant

Tammy works hard behind the scenes administering the paperwork for the investment portion of our business making sure everything is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Tammy assists Joan, answering the phone and  providing customer service. She is enjoying the opportunity of meeting our clients        when they call in or come into the office for a meeting.
